Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare
Directed by: Ms. Irene Skrytek and Mr. Jim Wild
Place of performance: Teatro Ocho y Medio, Quito
Year of production: 2007
Review:
This is the fifht year that the school has performed a play at Ocho y Medio Theatre. It was the largest cast we ever performed with and the most ambitious play. Twenty people involved; sixteen cast members, two directors and two backstage crew.
Shakespeare is not easy but we hope those of who saw the performance will agree that the students achieved a great deal, especially when you remember that the age of the cast varied from 11 to 19. Considering a number of the cast had English as a second language they did very well to cope with the difficultiesof old Shakesperean English.
Ms. Skrytek and Mr. Wild were very pleased with the spirit, camaraderie and dedicationshown by the cast and hope you will all be involved in the future. They will also like to thank to parents and staff involved behind the scenes and hope you will support the productions in the future as well.
